Hi, my name is Isabel and chances are, you’re visiting my website because you’re interested in eating cleaner, possibly wondering what it entails and how to go about it.
You might have come across the term associated with drastic diets, celebrities statements, and dramatic lifestyle, and wonder whether you’ll ever going to be able to make the changes and stick with them in the long run.
Fear not, this is exactly what this website is about. Because I’ve been there, got the t-shirt, and am trying to share what I’ve learned along the way to make your life easier.
So what is Clean Eating for me?
For me and my family, eating clean wasn’t really optional, we just had to make the switch to a cleaner diet due to various food intolerances and allergies.
And luckily, it didn’t happen all at once. A few years went by from the moment I first got diagnosed with my food sensitivities until the last time my youngest got tested. Seven years, there or thereabouts. And even though every time more intolerances creep up on us, we have to adjust our diet again, we’re now usually only talking about removing one or two specific foodstuffs, not changing completely the way we eat.
But I fully understand how daunting it can be to make those changes. You’ll be wondering where to start? What does Clean Eating mean exactly? What are the benefits? How can I make the change? How long will it take to form new habits? Do I have the time? Can I afford those new cleaner foodstuffs? Can I feed my family, my kids like this too? etc. etc.
So the aim of Simply Go Clean is to answer all those questions, as well as give you pointers and tips as to where to start, and where to go next. So stick around. And please share your story and your tips, so we can also all learn from one another.
